Mallmann Properties, together with Buona Vita Design, commissioned us to design the interior of the living-dining room of Villa Boracay, located in the La Volanta neighborhood in Pilará, a private neighborhood in Buenos Aires. This property was showcased at Estilo Pilar 2023, an exhibition of architecture, landscaping, and art, where we presented the interior design of this property to potential clients at the Mallmann stand.
At the developer's request, the living-dining room was separated by a cement-like divider with a gas fireplace, creating privacy between both areas. To compensate for this partition and maintain a cohesive design language, we proposed two solutions:
1. A strip of wooden rods that connected the two side walls and the ceiling.
2. A niche on the back wall that ran throughout the space.
From the gallery, the space appeared as a single environment, while from within, it was perceived as two separate areas. The living room was furnished with two brown leather sofas and two individual armchairs, balancing the formality of a living room while also providing the comfort and versatility needed for watching TV. Gray porcelain tiles were selected for the flooring, complemented by an area rug in asymmetrical beige, brown, and gray patterns.
The dining area consisted of a wooden table, beige corduroy chairs, and, as a distinctive element, we introduced a color variation in the flooring where the furniture was located.
